Experience
Aaron is an associate at Babin Bessner Spry, and previously articled and summered at the firm.
Aaron obtained his JD from Western University’s Faculty of Law. While at law school, Aaron served as Editor-in-Chief of the Canada-United States Law Journal, a student-run publication dedicated to exploring the complex trade relationship between Canada and the United States. He also participated in a number of extracurricular moot competitions, and volunteered for Lawyers Feed the Hungry. Aaron was called to the Ontario Bar in 2022.
Since joining the firm, Aaron’s practice has focused on complex corporate and commercial disputes involving matters of contract, corporate governance issues, shareholder disputes and oppression, tort and negligence claims, injunctions and arbitration proceedings. He has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal, and has acted on a number of commercial arbitrations.
In 2023, Aaron was elected to the Executive of the Ontario Bar Association’s Civil Litigation section, where he served as Newsletter Editor for the 2023/2024 term.
Prior to law school, Aaron obtained his BA (Hons.) and MA from Dalhousie University, where he studied Philosophy. During his undergraduate degree, Aaron also won back-to-back championships on Dalhousie’s varsity lacrosse team.
Outside of law, Aaron enjoys cycling, hiking and cooking.
